Overview
Pioneer Contract Services seeks a professional, safety‑focused Class A CDL Driver to support commercial moving and interior solutions projects across the Houston metro area. This role offers intermittent driving combined with crew support during non‑driving periods. It is ideal for candidates who prefer local work variety and a team‑driven environment rather than daily OTR repetition.
What You'll Do8
- 1Operate Class A vehicles on an as‑needed project‑based schedule
- 2Assist crews with loading unloading staging and equipment handling when not driving
- 3Perform DOT‑compliant inspections even during low‑frequency driving weeks
- 4Secure loads properly using straps load bars blankets and correct weight distribution
- 5Navigate job sites including office buildings warehouses and tight urban locations
- 6Operate liftgates and ramps safely and consistently
- 7Maintain professional communication with dispatch customers and building management
- 8Follow all DOT FMCSA and Pioneer safety policies without exception
Requirements7
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Clean MVR (no major violations in the past 3 years)
- 3DOT drug/alcohol testing ability
- 4Experience with commercial moving FF&E office furniture or freight handling preferred
- 5Physical ability to lift carry push and pull 50–75 lbs regularly stand walk bend and climb in/out of trucks
- 6Local Houston metro focus with occasional regional trips
- 7Day‑shift work with occasional weekend needs based on project load
