Overview
You will teach Spanish to elementary students across multiple sites in Eden Prairie Schools, sparking curiosity and building foundational language skills. You will collaborate with a dedicated team while traveling between five schools, including the Spanish Immersion program. What You'll Do7
- 1Teach Spanish to elementary students at Prairie View, Forest Hills, Eden Lake, and Oak Point Elementary, adapting lessons to each site's schedule.
- 2Design engaging, standards-based lessons that build speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Spanish.
- 3Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual needs, fostering a love for language learning.
- 4Collaborate with classroom teachers and specialists to integrate Spanish with other subjects across grade levels.
- 5Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student growth and classroom activities.
- 6Manage classroom routines and materials across multiple school sites, ensuring smooth transitions between buildings.
- 7Participate in professional learning communities and district initiatives to refine teaching practice.
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in education or a related field.
- 2Minnesota Teacher License: Spanish (K-5) or eligibility to obtain by August 31, 2026.
- 3Willingness to work with the MN Tier License system; out-of-field permission may be requested.
