Travel Occupational Therapist, School-Based in Texas

You will own OT services for 6-7 schools in Houston's southwest side near Rosenberg, serving a caseload of around 70 students with direct services for 30-40 through a flexible rotating schedule. What You'll Do8
- 1Serve an assigned zone of 6-7 schools, managing a caseload of ~70 students with direct services for 30-40 using a flexible rotating schedule.
- 2Conduct student evaluations and participate in ARDs, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in SHARES and Onward software.
- 3Collaborate with district staff and independently manage your caseload, coordinating services across multiple school sites.
- 4Deliver OT interventions aligned with each student's IEP, focusing on functional outcomes in educational settings.
- 5Build rapport with students, families, and school teams to support participation and progress.
- 6Adapt to varying school environments and schedules, maintaining consistency and reliability across the full 37.5 hours per week.
- 7Document all services and communications in compliance with district and state requirements.
- 8Communicate effectively with special education teams to ensure cohesive support for students.
Requirements7
- 1Active Texas OT license required.
- 2Must clear state fingerprinting/background check.
- 3Several years of school or pediatric experience preferred; highly qualified COTAs with robust experience considered.
- 4Must not be a former employee of the district or have been previously terminated from any school district (will require an affidavit).
- 5On-site availability mandatory for the full 37.5 hours per week.
- 6Proficiency in using SHARES and Onward software for documentation is required.
- 7Must be willing to travel and work in multiple school locations within the Houston area.
