What You'll Do8
- 1Build individualized care plans from comprehensive patient assessments and record outcomes.
- 2Administer medications, treatments, and blood products using strict safety protocols on Med Surg units.
- 3Coordinate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to align care strategies across shifts.
- 4Document clinical data and nursing notes in the EHR system to maintain accurate patient records.
- 5Prioritize care for multiple patients, managing complex workloads and advocating for patient health.
- 6Evaluate patient responses to interventions and adjust plans in real-time for acute conditions.
- 7Own patient education, ensuring families understand discharge instructions and follow-up care.
- 8Drive unit quality metrics by participating in BLS-certified response teams during codes.
Requirements6
- 11-2 years of recent acute care or Med Surg inpatient experience.
- 2Active RN license in Nebraska or a compact state.
- 3BLS certification required; ACLS or PALS strongly preferred.
- 4ADN or BSN degree from an accredited nursing program.
- 5Proven proficiency in EHR documentation and critical thinking.
- 6Ability to adapt quickly to new hospital environments and patient assignments.
