Registered Nurse Med Surg Per Diem, Day Shifts
Overview
Own direct and indirect patient care in a 378-bed acute care hospital. You'll manage Med-Surg patients, coordinate with physicians on clinical changes, and respond to shifts in condition or treatment. What You'll Do8
- 1Assess patient conditions and report changes to physicians, including diagnostic results and symptoms.
- 2Administer medications and treatments per physician orders in the Med-Surg setting.
- 3Document patient care using Meditech electronic health records.
- 4Coordinate with the care team to implement and adjust care plans for acute patients.
- 5Respond to changes in patient status with rapid intervention and escalate as needed.
- 6Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
- 7Maintain a safe environment by adhering to infection control and hospital protocols.
- 8Support daily operations by collaborating with nursing staff and other departments.
Requirements6
- 1Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- 22+ years of Med-Surg experience preferred.
- 3Current Florida RN licensure required.
- 4ACLS and BLS certifications from American Heart Association or Red Cross required.
- 5Proficiency with Meditech software preferred.
- 6Ability to work day shifts on a per diem basis.
