What You'll Do7
- 1Perform CT exams per physician orders and departmental protocols, starting with patient preparation and positioning.
- 2Operate CT equipment safely, adjusting parameters to capture optimal images for radiologist interpretation.
- 3Administer contrast media following protocols, monitoring patients for reactions.
- 4Review images for quality and accuracy, repeating scans when necessary before submission.
- 5Maintain patient records and imaging documentation, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- 6Follow radiation safety standards, using shielding and minimizing exposure.
- 7Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nurses to support patient care and timely diagnoses.
Requirements5
- 1Current BLS certification.
- 2Current ARRT certification.
- 32+ years recent CT Technologist experience.
- 4Strong knowledge of CT imaging procedures, anatomy, and radiation safety.
- 5Excellent technical, communication, and patient care skills.
