What You'll Do11
- 1Coordinate routes by analyzing product dimensions and weight to determine the most efficient vehicle selection.
- 2Manage all jobsite and truckload deliveries while collaborating with customers sales and production teams.
- 3Assign qualified drivers to operate equipment and oversee daily fleet operations.
- 4Maintain comprehensive audits and reports covering fleet fuel usage risk management driver logs and accident records.
- 5Oversee daily and monthly compliance with DOT regulations through proper documentation and training partnerships.
- 6Supervise personnel and maintain necessary paperwork in coordination with HR departments.
- 7Ensure safe workplace practices and train employees on operational standards.
- 8Develop systems to enhance customer service quality inventory accuracy and on time delivery metrics.
- 9File freight claims promptly for inventory loss or damage and notify plant management.
- 10Utilize information systems to analyze logistics activities and expense effectiveness.
- 11Drive continuous improvement initiatives for transportation processes.
Requirements10
- 1Minimum 3 years planning and dispatching experience in trucking with at least 2 years in leadership roles.
- 2CDL Class A license with an exemplary driving record.
- 3Proficiency with computer based dispatching software.
- 4Comprehensive understanding of DOT and Hours of Service regulations.
- 5Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Excel Word and email.
- 6Ability to lift 75 pounds without assistance.
- 7Commitment to safety and strong multitasking organizational skills.
- 8Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- 9Strong leadership and interpersonal capabilities for mentoring employees.
- 10Demonstrated problem solving and coaching skills.
