Theatre Team Member at Cinemark Dallas
Overview
You will own the guest experience at a Cinemark theatre, managing ticket sales, concessions, and auditorium cleanliness for up to 500 guests per showtime. You will work with POS systems to process transactions and answer questions about movies and promotions. Part of a cross-functional team, you will rotate between usher, box office, and concession roles as needed. This role stands out for its focus on safety and food handling, requiring food safety certification in many locations.
What You'll Do10
- 1Greet guests with a smile and provide timely, professional service at the POS register.
- 2Verify tickets at the podium and direct guests to the correct auditorium.
- 3Sell tickets according to MPAA ratings and company policy.
- 4Answer questions about pricing, movies, and special events with up-to-date knowledge.
- 5Respond to phone calls and guest inquiries with quality customer service.
- 6Conduct theatre inspections to monitor movie presentation and sound quality, watch for theft, and ensure a safe environment.
- 7Keep the lobby, aisles, restrooms, and parking lot clean and free from debris.
- 8Prepare food and operate cooking, warming, and popping equipment safely.
- 9Sanitize high-contact areas consistently and follow all local, state, and federal food safety laws.
- 10Monitor safety and security issues, reporting trip hazards, lighting problems, or suspicious persons to management.
Requirements10
- 1Must be at least 16 years old.
- 2Complete basic food handling training and obtain any required certification or health card.
- 3Work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays with regular and consistent attendance.
- 4Display an energetic and friendly attitude during every shift.
- 5Provide excellent guest service with strong communication skills in English.
- 6Communicate effectively with all ages, genders, and personalities, both verbally and in writing.
- 7Work well in a team and independently, taking and following direction with a sense of urgency.
- 8Handle cash accurately and perform basic math calculations.
- 9Frequently bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- 10Stand for extended periods, with moderate to high noise levels in the theatre.
