Temporary Property Maintenance Worker - RHP Staffing
Overview
You will own grounds and lawn maintenance for a manufactured home community, covering 40 hours per week on a temporary basis. You will execute work orders, perform basic repairs, and keep community areas properly manicured. You will report to the Community Manager and work with a small team to maintain Parkway Village in Laurel, MD. This role stands out for its direct impact on resident satisfaction and the variety of tasks, from landscaping to snow removal.
What You'll Do10
- 1Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager promptly.
- 2Repair community-owned homes, including plumbing, electrical, appliance, HVAC, and carpentry fixes.
- 3Maintain community grounds by mowing lawns, trimming shrubs, raking leaves, and planting flowers.
- 4Remove snow using a snowblower, hand shovel, or plow truck as needed.
- 5Dispose of garbage from common areas and resident sites to keep the community clean.
- 6Inventory maintenance and grounds equipment and advise the Community Manager on supply needs.
- 7Keep garage and storage areas organized and all equipment clean and serviced.
- 8Comply with health and safety regulations to prevent accidents and protect residents and staff.
- 9Perform seasonal pre-maintenance and participate in refurbishing community-owned homes.
- 10Repair and maintain community water and sewer lines.
Requirements9
- 12+ years maintenance experience preferred.
- 2High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- 3Valid driver's license and insurability under company policy.
- 4Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliance repairs, HVAC, and carpentry.
- 5Ability to provide your own tools.
- 6Physical capability to bend, stretch, twist, walk continuously, and access restricted spaces.
- 7Ability to operate maintenance equipment and lift up to 75 pounds.
- 8Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision.
- 9Tolerance for exposure to chemical compounds.
