
Technical Writer, Zero Trust Program (Government)
Overview
You will own technical documentation for a high-visibility Zero Trust program supporting a government partner. You will write and edit network and infrastructure documents for a contract at Hanscom AFB, Massachusetts. You will collaborate with network engineers and government stakeholders to produce clear, accurate deliverables. This role requires travel twice a month to the site. You will shape documentation standards for a DOD environment.
What You'll Do8
- 1Write and edit technical documents for the Zero Trust program, including network architecture and infrastructure guides.
- 2Translate complex network and security concepts into clear, user-friendly content for government stakeholders.
- 3Collaborate with network engineers to gather technical details and ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- 4Revise documents based on feedback from technical reviewers and program leadership.
- 5Manage documentation versions and maintain a repository of current and historical materials.
- 6Support monthly on-site meetings and reviews by preparing materials in advance.
- 7Ensure all documentation meets DOD standards and program guidelines.
- 8Deliver final documents within agreed timelines to support program milestones.
Requirements8
- 13+ years of technical writing experience in network or infrastructure domains.
- 2Proven ability to document complex systems, including Zero Trust architecture.
- 3Experience writing for government or defense clients, with familiarity with DOD standards.
- 4Strong proficiency with documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and Confluence.
- 5Ability to travel to Hanscom AFB twice a month.
- 6Active Security+ or equivalent certification preferred.
- 7Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- 8Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, or a related field.
