Overview
You will own the global technology roadmap for autonomous drones and ground robots securing Google's hyperscale data centers. This role spans robotics, AI, and aviation compliance. You will partner with legal, infrastructure, and security operations teams to deploy UAS and UGV fleets. You will architect control systems and physical infrastructure for safe operations. What You'll Do6
- 1Design the multi-year roadmap for autonomous UAV and UGV deployments across global data center sites.
- 2Navigate international FAA and BVLOS regulations to secure waivers and authorizations from regional authorities.
- 3Integrate autonomous platforms with existing access control, video surveillance, and perimeter intrusion systems using LiDAR and GNSS/GPS.
- 4Author operational guidelines and playbooks for human intervention, standardizing readiness training for global security teams.
- 5Evaluate hardware and software vendors to develop a standardized assessment framework for capability, security, and reliability.
- 6Scale drone and robot operations by building control systems and safety protocols that meet SLAM and GNSS/GPS standards.
Requirements8
- 1Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
- 25+ years managing technical programs, physical security operations, or technology deployment efforts.
- 3Experience deploying and managing drone fleets or UAS or critical infrastructure security.
- 4Experience with autonomous system sensors and architectures including LiDAR, SLAM, and GNSS/GPS.
- 5Experience navigating aviation compliance, legal frameworks, and airspace operations such as FAA approvals and BVLOS.
- 6Master's degree in a technical or engineering field preferred, such as Robotics or Aerospace.
- 75+ years managing cross-functional or cross-team projects preferred.
- 8Experience deploying enterprise physical security infrastructure preferred.
