Technical Accounting Lead, SEC Reporting
Overview
You will own technical accounting research and SEC reporting for Lambda, the AI cloud infrastructure leader serving tens of thousands of customers. Your work will directly support our journey toward public company readiness. You will partner with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and Treasury to assess accounting impacts of complex transactions. You will drive IPO readiness, including S-1/10-K preparation and financial statement presentation. This role offers ownership of high-impact initiatives in a fast-growing AI company, with a clear path to IPO.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead technical accounting research and prepare US GAAP memos for complex, non-routine transactions.
- 2Analyze accounting implications for revenue, equity, debt, business combinations, leases, and stock-based compensation.
- 3Partner with Legal, Tax, FP&A, and Treasury to assess accounting impacts before execution.
- 4Develop and maintain accounting policies; implement new FASB and SEC guidance for public company readiness.
- 5Support IPO readiness: draft technical disclosures, assist with S-1/10-K preparation, and enhance financial statement presentation.
- 6Prepare consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and reporting package reviews to ensure SEC compliance.
- 7Support external audits and SOX readiness by documenting controls and improving close processes.
- 8Contribute to M&A, system implementations, and strategic initiatives supporting company growth.
Requirements10
- 14+ years of technical accounting experience, preferably in Big 4 or public company.
- 2Active CPA required.
- 3Strong knowledge of US GAAP with experience analyzing complex transactions (revenue, leases, equity, debt, business combinations).
- 4Proven ability to research accounting guidance and prepare clear technical memos.
- 5Understanding of SEC reporting and disclosure requirements.
- 6Experience partnering cross-functionally to assess accounting implications.
- 7Familiarity with NetSuite and Workiva.
- 8Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- 9Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to translate technical guidance into practical recommendations.
- 10Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
Salary Insight
$169 - $225k per year
