What You'll Do9
- 1Build and maintain reliable OTR routes within the Forward Air linehaul network
- 2Design and execute efficient freight loads while adhering to safety standards
- 3Ship cargo across the United States ensuring timely delivery
- 4Collaborate with logistics partners to optimize transportation solutions
- 5Drive Volvo VNL 860 trucks equipped with automated transmissions and modern amenities
- 6Maintain clean driving record and complete required background checks
- 7Scale operations by managing multiple assignments during extended trips
- 8Drive home every two to three weeks after completing scheduled runs
- 9Support team initiatives to improve operational efficiency
Requirements6
- 15+ years building OTR experience with a focus on dry van tractor trailers
- 2Clean CDL Class A license with MVR clear within five years
- 3Pass comprehensive background check including SAP and drug/alcohol screening
- 4Demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and vehicle maintenance skills
- 5Possess OTR experience for two or more consecutive weeks
- 6Commit to OTR duty periods of two weeks or longer without extended breaks
