Teacher Itinerant DHH, K-12 Education & Deaf/Hard of Hearing Endorsement
Overview
This role provides specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing across assigned schools. You will develop individualized plans, deliver engaging lessons, and monitor progress within the Arizona standards framework. Collaboration with families, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams ensures cohesive support. Travel to multiple sites is required to deliver services.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and deliver high quality instruction to DHH students
- 2Develop and implement engaging daily lesson plans aligned with Arizona Academic Standards
- 3Assess student abilities and determine instructional strategies
- 4Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students
- 5Conduct student evaluations and maintain accurate records
- 6Collaborate with parents, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams
- 7Apply effective classroom and behavior management strategies
- 8Travel to assigned schools to provide instructional services
- 9Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements6
- 1Bachelor`s Degree in Education with coursework related to sensory impairments
- 2State of Arizona Teaching Certificate with the appropriate Deaf/Hard of Hearing endorsement
- 3Pass FBI and State of Arizona background checks
- 4Willingness to travel to schools and districts within the service area
- 5Local Arizona residency preferred
- 6Start within two weeks of offer
