Tax Supervisor - Atlanta, GA

We seek a Tax Supervisor to lead client interactions, guide technical matters, and direct staff. Responsibilities span audit support, client outreach, filing preparation, and tax strategy advice. This role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and professional growth within a dynamic team.
What You'll Do12
- 1Assist in handling routine audits, questions, and notices from federal and state agencies
- 2Maintain frequent client communication to provide updates and answer questions
- 3Request needed information from clients and supervisors to prepare filings
- 4Serve as primary client contact on assigned engagements
- 5Advise clients on tax implications of business objectives and recommend alternatives
- 6Manage planning, administration, and completion of client engagements
- 7Prepare or supervise preparation of tax accrual workpapers
- 8Review tax law developments and determine applicability to clients
- 9Oversee statutory due dates, tax control items, and planning project timelines
- 10Act as technical resource for staff and enhance their understanding of tax issues
- 11Supervise staff in return preparation and use of tax technology
- 12Assist in development and delivery of internal training
Requirements7
- 1Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Finance or related field
- 2CPA license required
- 3Two to five years of public accounting experience preferred
- 4Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and GAAP
- 5Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to multitask
- 7Ability to meet deadlines in fast-paced team-oriented environment
