Overview
ProTeam Tactical seeks a skilled Physical Therapist to deliver rapid evidence-informed musculoskeletal care for Las Vegas public safety professionals. The role involves on-site injury care rehabilitation and return-to-duty guidance for law enforcement and fire personnel while supporting long-term career resilience.
What You'll Do12
- 1Provide on-site evaluation treatment and rehabilitation for work-related and private insurance musculoskeletal injuries for law enforcement fire and other public safety personnel
- 2Conduct functional duty assessments and recommend return-to-duty modifications
- 3Develop individualized evidence-based rehabilitation plans aligned with public safety physical demands
- 4Collaborate with on-site strength and conditioning professionals to facilitate seamless transition to performance training
- 5Educate patients on injury mechanisms self-management and joint spine health
- 6Coordinate care with referring physicians specialists and other providers to ensure timely compliant treatment
- 7Participate in case review meetings with strength and conditioning staff and ProTeam leadership
- 8Support workers compensation navigation by delivering objective functional documentation and clear stakeholder communication
- 9Document all patient encounters in EMR systems adhering to professional legal and payer standards
- 10Track clinical metrics such as time lost case duration and functional outcomes and provide concise injury reports to COO and agency stakeholders
- 11Deliver group and one-on-one education on injury prevention ergonomics load management recovery and early symptom reporting
- 12Contribute to educational material development presentations and resources for public safety personnel
Requirements20
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23 years outpatient orthopedic and/or sports medicine experience
- 3Current DPT from CAPTE accredited program
- 4Nevada therapist license or eligibility to obtain before start date
- 5Demonstrated experience managing high-demand populations
- 6Prior experience with tactical athletes military fire law enforcement or collegiate athletics
- 7Familiarity with workers compensation systems and return-to-work coordination
- 8Ability to collaborate with strength and conditioning staff athletic trainers and performance coaches
- 9Strong orthopedic examination manual therapy skills within state practice guidelines
- 10Proficiency in designing progressive home exercise programs and functional return-to-duty preparation
- 11Competence using EMR systems and basic productivity tools for documentation and reporting
- 12Excellent interpersonal skills building rapport with law enforcement and fire service personnel
- 13Clear written and verbal communication for clinical documentation patient education and multidisciplinary teamwork
- 14Strong organizational skills managing varied caseloads prioritizing tasks and working with minimal supervision
- 15Sound clinical judgment in high-stress situations including acute injuries and complex work-comp considerations
- 16Commitment to confidentiality ethical practice and regulatory compliance
- 17Dedication to ongoing professional development through courses mentoring and tactical sports medicine best practices
- 18Physical ability to stand walk bend lift and carry over 55 lbs with occasional heavy lifting
- 19Visual acoustic hearing and hand-eye coordination sufficient for evaluations treatments and documentation
- 20Flexibility to work weekends evenings and occasional extended hours
