Overview

You lead a survey party for CEI Engineering Associates, managing land, boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys across Dallas, Texas. What You'll Do8

  • 1Direct a survey crew on land, boundary, topographic, ALTA, power line, pipeline, and construction projects.
  • 2Own project schedules and fieldwork, ensuring delivery within deadlines and quality standards.
  • 3Mentor crew members through all phases, providing training on GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors.
  • 4Collect and record survey data using GPS, total stations, and data collectors, then reduce field notes and perform calculations.
  • 5Download and file survey data according to project protocols.
  • 6Review completed work against client expectations, certifying accuracy and completeness.
  • 7Inspect vehicles and equipment daily, scheduling repairs or maintenance as needed.
  • 8Align crew tasks with project goals, adapting to route and construction changes in the field.

Requirements8

  • 15+ years of field surveying experience with GPS, robotic total stations, and data collectors.
  • 22+ years supervising survey crews, including mentoring and training.
  • 3Part 107 drone license for aerial survey support.
  • 4Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel for data management and reporting.
  • 5Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plats, maps, site plans, deeds, and legal documents.
  • 6Willingness to travel to regional job sites, sometimes overnight.
  • 7Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
  • 8Demonstrated leadership skills, including conflict resolution and decision-making.
