What You'll Do10
- 1Prepare patients for endoscopic procedures by explaining processes and verifying medical histories
- 2Assist physicians during colonoscopies and GI interventions by managing instruments and providing support
- 3Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety
- 4Reprocess endoscopes following sterilization protocols
- 5Support diagnostic evaluations by managing medical imaging data
- 6Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes during procedures
- 7Educate patients on post-procedure care and address concerns
- 8Document procedures equipment maintenance and patient interactions
- 9Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize efficiency
- 10Stay current with endoscopic techniques and infection prevention
Requirements7
- 12+ years experience with BLS certification required
- 2BLS certification required
- 3MA experience preferred
- 4SGNA certification required
- 5ST program completion preferred
- 6License/Certification: BLS Certification required
