What You'll Do11
- 1Schedule patients for surgery and complete required documentation
- 2Confirm patient details surgery dates and medical diagnoses
- 3Review pre-operative instructions with patients including medications allergies and lab results
- 4Collect insurance information to verify coverage and benefits
- 5Ensure all paperwork is filed and available for upcoming surgeries including consent forms
- 6Answer phone inquiries about surgical services
- 7Schedule follow-up appointments and coordinate with physicians
- 8Monitor surgical schedules and collaborate with medical staff to adjust appointments
- 9Maintain regular attendance and follow company policies
- 10Apply tactful communication practices while protecting patient confidentiality
- 11Utilize knowledge of medical terminology CPT codes and insurance verification
Requirements6
- 1High school diploma or equivalent with one year of prior surgery scheduling experience in healthcare setting
