What You'll Do11
- 1Read and interpret blueprints drawings and weld symbols
- 2Measure cut and prepare materials to required specifications
- 3Perform precision fit-up for weld joints including proper gap bevel and alignment
- 4Use tools such as grinders torches levels and measuring devices
- 5Verify dimensions tolerances and alignment prior to welding
- 6Collaborate with welders and Quality to ensure code compliant results
- 7Identify and correct fit-up issues before welding begins
- 8Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
- 9Keep work area clean organized and compliant with safety standards
- 10Work independently and as part of a team
- 11Demonstrate strong work ethic and reliability in a production environment
Requirements10
- 1Proven experience as a pipe fitter or structural fitter in an industrial environment
- 2Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols
- 3Understanding of fit-up tolerances joint preparation and alignment
- 4Experience working with pipe plate or structural steel components
- 5Ability to use measuring tools accurately tape level square
- 6High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- 7Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently and handle materials safely
- 8Manual agility to operate tools safely with regular use of arms shoulders and back
- 9Full body mobility balance and upper lower body strength
- 10Ability to work safely in a warehouse environment with exposure to noise dust moving equipment and varying temperatures
