What You'll Do8

  • 1Design bridge and waterfront structures using concrete, steel, and timber systems from concept to construction documents.
  • 2Perform seismic analysis and design for infrastructure projects, applying non-linear analysis techniques.
  • 3Collaborate with clients and project teams to deliver structural solutions on schedule and within budget.
  • 4Prepare engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for horizontal construction projects.
  • 5Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams including geotechnical, civil, and construction professionals.
  • 6Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs during the construction phase.
  • 7Support project management tasks such as budgeting, scheduling, and client communication.
  • 8Participate in site visits and inspections to verify construction aligns with design intent.

Requirements7

  • 12+ years of full-time structural design experience as a DE or equivalent.
  • 2B.S. in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis; M.S. preferred.
  • 3EIT certification required; PE or SE preferred.
  • 4Coursework or design experience in concrete, steel, and timber.
  • 5Coursework or design experience in pre-stressed concrete and seismic design.
  • 6Familiarity with non-linear analysis software and methods.
  • 7Ability to work dynamically with clients and project team members.
