What You'll Do10

  • 1Build developmental screenings and speech therapy services for children birth to 21 within clinic and home/community settings
  • 2Provide family education on intervention strategies to enable carryover in daily life
  • 3Follow Individualized Service Plans, plan ongoing treatment, and communicate goals to parents
  • 4Prepare progress reports on a six month and annual basis
  • 5Maintain client records and submit them to the agency within deadlines
  • 6Participate in monthly agency staff meetings and collaborate with clinical supervisors
  • 7Contribute to a culture of quality care aligned with ethical standards
  • 8Engage in ongoing professional development and utilization of the data collection system
  • 9Support therapy teams with interprofessional collaboration as needed
  • 10Assist with program development and patient education materials

Requirements9

  • 1Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
  • 21-2 years of experience working with children birth to 21 preferred
  • 3VA state license to practice Speech Therapy
  • 4Fluency in a language other than English is a plus
  • 5Must be able to travel to assigned cases and use personal transportation as needed
  • 6Ability to ascend and descend stairs and lift 10 pounds regularly
  • 7Comfort with sitting on the floor, kneeling or crawling for extended periods
  • 8Willingness to participate in a flexible schedule including part-time or full-time roles
  • 9Background in pediatric therapy with collaboration and documentation systems
