Overview
Accel seeks a Speech Language Pathologist to lead consultative therapy services for AAC users and students with developmental disabilities in K-12+. The role involves developing IEPs programming augmentative communication devices and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This position offers paid school breaks and flexible schedule.
What You'll Do11
- 1Provide consultative and direct speech and language therapy services
- 2Evaluate and write evaluation reports for students receiving services
- 3Develop and implement individualized educational plans and instructional programs
- 4Program augmentative communication devices and monitor their maintenance
- 5Participate in Multidisciplinary Evaluation Team and Individual Education Plan meetings
- 6Collaborate with teachers to deliver speech/language therapy
- 7Conduct ongoing and periodic evaluations of student progress
- 8Maintain accurate records and submit reports within designated time frames
- 9Submit Medicaid billing as directed
- 10Obtain necessary fingerprint clearance and AHCCS ID for billing
- 11Complete required background check
Requirements7
- 1Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- 2Valid Arizona Department of Education Speech-Language Pathologist Certificate
- 3Department of Health Speech-Language Pathology License
- 4Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card
- 5Current NPI number and AHCCS ID
- 6Background check completion
- 73-5 years experience working with students with developmental disabilities
