Specialty Gas Lab Technician, Gas Analytics & ISO 17025
Overview
Own and execute laboratory tests on specialty gas cylinders at scale in Indianapolis. Collaborate with safety, quality, and operations teams to certify gas mixtures and prepare documentation. Work with gas chromatography and process analyzers in a regulated environment.
What You'll Do9
- 1Build and operate gas chromatography and process gas analyzers to certify gas mixtures.
- 2Prepare product for shipment following SOPs and ISO 17025/17034 guidelines.
- 3Document test results and maintain quality records in the quality management system.
- 4Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, FDA, DOT and Compressed Gas Association guidelines.
- 5Assist in routine analytical work on medical and specialty gases.
- 6Maintain instrument calibration, preventive maintenance, and safety procedures.
- 7Support continuous improvement initiatives with data and reports.
- 8Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet customer deadlines.
- 9Handle high-pressure cylinders with approved equipment and proper safety measures.
Requirements9
- 1High School Diploma/GED required.
- 24 year college degree or similar work experience preferred.
- 3Familiarity with gas chromatography and process gas analyzers.
- 41-3 years of Industrial/Specialty Gas experience preferred.
- 5Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and math skills.
- 6Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- 7Ability to work well under pressure.
- 8Ability to handle high-pressure steel and aluminum cylinders with approved equipment.
- 9Detail-oriented with high reliability.
