What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver specially designed instruction aligned with each student's IEP in core academic subjects
- 2Plan lessons and modify curriculum to accommodate varied learning abilities, using Google Classroom and other tools
- 3Monitor academic and behavioral progress using classroom data and assessments, adjusting instruction as needed
- 4Develop, review, and maintain compliant IEP documentation, including goals and progress reports
- 5Collaborate with general education teachers to facilitate inclusion and implement accommodations
- 6Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and parent conferences to ensure student success
- 7Establish a structured and encouraging classroom environment that promotes student independence
Requirements6
- 1Valid Oregon Special Education teaching license or appropriate authorization
- 2Appropriate endorsement for the grade level and student population served
- 3Working knowledge of IEP development and special education regulations
- 4Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Education, or a related field
- 5Prior experience supporting students with disabilities in a K-12 environment preferred
- 6Experience with inclusion, resource, or self-contained programming is beneficial
