What You'll Do7
- 1Deliver individualized instruction aligned with each student's IEP goals and objectives.
- 2Develop lesson plans, accommodations, and modifications to support student success across academic and functional skills.
- 3Monitor student progress and maintain accurate special education documentation, including data collection and progress reports.
- 4Collaborate with related service providers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure consistent support.
- 5Foster a safe, structured, and supportive learning environment using positive behavior support strategies.
- 6Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaboration to review and adjust student plans.
- 7Implement behavior intervention plans and de-escalation techniques as needed in the classroom.
Requirements5
- 1Active California Education Specialist Credential in Moderate/Severe or Extensive Support Needs (ESN) required.
- 2Experience working with students with moderate to severe disabilities or medically fragile populations preferred.
- 3Knowledge of IEP development, behavior support strategies, and differentiated instruction.
- 4Strong collaboration and communication skills with staff, families, and external providers.
- 5Ability to work onsite in Santa Monica, CA, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM, from August 17, 2026 to June 9, 2027.
