Overview

Provide 1:1 behavioral and academic support to students with autism and developmental differences at Building Connections Academy. You will implement individualized programs, collect data, and teach communication, social, and life skills. Work under supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and collaborate with a supportive school team. This role offers paid RBT training and certification within 90 days, plus drive time reimbursement. Make a direct impact on student independence in a mission-driven nonpublic school.

What You'll Do7

  • 1Implement individualized education and behavior plans for students with autism and developmental differences, using ABA techniques.
  • 2Collect and record behavioral and academic data on student progress, ensuring accuracy and timely documentation.
  • 3Teach communication, social, play, and self-help skills through structured activities and natural opportunities.
  • 4Encourage independence and build positive relationships with students, fostering a safe and engaging classroom environment.
  • 5Collaborate with teachers and BCBAs to adjust strategies and ensure student success.
  • 6Maintain a clean and organized classroom, supporting the physical and emotional safety of all students.
  • 7Support students during transitions, meals, and recess, promoting social interaction and skill generalization.

Requirements7

  • 1RBT certification required, or willingness to obtain within 90 days (paid training included).
  • 2High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
  • 3Passion for working with children and helping them succeed.
  • 4Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and auto insurance.
  • 5Required immunizations: MMR, Tdap, Varicella, Hep B, and TB clearance within 4 years.
  • 6Availability Monday to Friday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, in-person.
  • 7Ability to pass a background check and meet school district requirements.
