Software Engineer (AI-Native Platform & Integrations) | $70-$110/hr Remote
Overview
This is an open application for a part-time, remote engineering role with Mercor's talent network, employed through Cincinnatus. You'll help build an AI-native platform that replaces spreadsheet-driven operations with real-time dashboards and agentic workflows, owning products from foundations to integrations and pilot launch. The rate is $70-$110/hr, and matches are made on a rolling basis.
What You'll Do6
- 1Ship production-ready features across both backend and frontend, owning the full stack of the platform.
- 2Design and implement a scalable integrations framework that connects common tools via event ingestion, sync, and actions.
- 3Build real-time analytics dashboards with live metrics, drill-downs, and export capabilities.
- 4Architect an agentic tool-use layer compatible with MCP-style patterns, including tool registry, permissions, runtime, and observability.
- 5Support pilot launch with hands-on debugging, iteration, and fast shipping.
- 6Maintain strong engineering hygiene: testing, observability, and on-call readiness.
Requirements6
- 1Strong, practical software engineering skills with the ability to ship end-to-end and unblock yourself.
- 2Experience building SaaS products with APIs, data models, and production constraints.
- 3Deep comfort with integrations: OAuth2, webhooks, API pagination, rate limiting, and sync semantics.
- 4A 'vibe coding' mindset — using AI tools like Copilot or ChatGPT effectively to stay fast without sacrificing correctness.
- 5Familiarity with MCP-style tool interfaces or building tool servers.
- 6Clear communicator who can explain tradeoffs and keep stakeholders aligned.
