Shelter Resident Support Specialist
Overview
Friends of Switchpoint provides compassionate support to individuals families and veterans experiencing homelessness creating safe welcoming communities. This part-time role empowers residents toward stability while ensuring smooth shelter operations.
What You'll Do9
- 1Understand and implement mission values adhering to policies and procedures
- 2Provide exceptional customer service to all guests
- 3Maintain daily occurrence logs and note special resident requirements
- 4Update maintenance logs and arrange transportation via shuttle vans
- 5Coordinate with management to fulfill ADA accommodations and dietary needs
- 6Assist with convenience store transactions and monitor camera activity
- 7Perform perimeter checks and building walk-throughs for resident safety
- 8Log and document security concerns handling emergencies through dispatch or 911
- 9Execute tasks as assigned by management
Requirements5
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 2Proficient in AWS and Kubernetes
- 3Experience with React frameworks
- 4Familiarity with Python programming language
- 5Knowledge of SQL databases
