You will serve on-site in Washington DC, collaborating with LWMC trades and outside vendors to meet codes and project specs. What You'll Do10

  • 1Build and repair water, gas, and sanitary sewer systems in residential and commercial buildings
  • 2Design maintenance plans and perform routine plumbing system upkeep
  • 3Diagnose issues, replace fixtures like sinks, toilets, showers, water heaters, and garbage disposals
  • 4Document repair costs and time with accurate records of materials used
  • 5Adhere to plumbing codes, installation requirements, and safety regulations
  • 6Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked service truck for efficient field work
  • 7Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies on a rotational basis
  • 8Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, and internal teams
  • 9Collaborate with LWMC trades and external contractors to meet project specifications
  • 10Support department operations by reading blueprints and piping diagrams

Requirements10

  • 1Journeyman's License
  • 2Backflow Certification
  • 3Current valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 4High School diploma or GED
  • 55+ years of experience in residential and commercial plumbing service
  • 6Strong knowledge of plumbing codes and safety procedures
  • 7Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • 8Effective communication with residents and colleagues
  • 9Ability to read blueprints and piping diagrams
  • 10Proficiency in maintaining inventory and documenting materials used
