Overview
You own the guest experience at CALA, a coastal European restaurant in Scottsdale, delivering personalized service that keeps tables turning and guests returning. You work with the floor lead, bar manager, and kitchen team to keep service smooth and consistent. This role rewards upselling and guest engagement, with direct paths to growth within CALA and the CLIVE Collective group.
What You'll Do8
- 1Deliver attentive, personalized service to every guest, owning their experience from greeting to departure.
- 2Develop and execute upselling strategies that boost check averages and guest satisfaction in the first 90 days.
- 3Collaborate with floor leads and the bar manager to keep service timing sharp and tables in sync.
- 4Own section assignments and daily floor setup, adjusting to peak flow to cut wait times.
- 5Maintain a strong floor presence, greeting regulars and spotting needs before guests ask.
- 6Coordinate with kitchen and bar teams to ensure accurate, timely delivery of every course.
- 7Resolve guest concerns on the spot, using your judgment to turn issues into loyalty.
- 8Follow health, safety, and cleanliness standards without shortcuts.
Requirements5
- 11+ years as a server in a high-volume or upscale dining environment.
- 2Strong communication and multitasking skills to handle multiple tables and requests.
- 3Professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude, ready to pitch in.
- 4Ability to stay calm under pressure and keep attention to detail with a full section.
- 5Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, to cover peak shifts.
