Overview

SkyGrid seeks a Senior Systems Engineer to define and architect systems across the V while supporting certification and verification & validation planning. This hybrid role drives technical leadership and collaboration across disciplines. The ideal candidate will deliver MBSE artifacts during the CDR phase and mentor junior staff.

What You'll Do11

  • 1Develop system requirements based on inputs from internal Product Marketing and Business Development teams as well as external customers and regulatory standards
  • 2Create and maintain SysML models using Cameo to represent Use Cases Activity Sequences and State Machines
  • 3Lead system development activities spanning requirements validation implementation verification and certification
  • 4Advance compliance with ARP4754B development practices and generate necessary documentation
  • 5Guide design compliance with certification cyber security quality and safety standards
  • 6Support formal technical program gates including SRR PDR CDR TRR and qualification reviews
  • 7Coordinate cross‑functional activities and supervise junior staff contributions
  • 8Deliver high‑quality MBSE artifacts and technical leadership during the current CDR phase
  • 9Identify and mitigate system technical risks aligned with CDR objectives
  • 10Perform requirements traceability and impact assessments for CDR review
  • 11Produce System and Subsystem Design Description documents in alignment with MBSE methodologies

Requirements8

  • 1Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Computer Mechanical Aerospace Engineering or related STEM field
  • 27+ years of experience in a highly technical aerospace industry
  • 35+ years as a Systems Engineer focusing on MBSE principles with SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler
  • 4Familiarity with ARP4754B and ability to support System Safety reviews per ARP4761A
  • 5Master’s degree preferred along with experience developing autonomous systems or avionics products
  • 6Proficiency with requirements management tools such as Polarion or DOORS
  • 7Knowledge of DO-178C compliant development lifecycles
  • 8Strong communication and leadership skills for mentoring junior staff
