Senior Systems Analyst, Financial Services & SOA
Overview
You will own the design and architecture of information systems for TIAA's retirement and brokerage platforms, shaping solutions that handle 5+ years of financial domain complexity. You'll define system scope, prepare flowcharts, and design possible solutions under general supervision. Collaborating with analysts, engineers, and programmers, you'll set performance standards and interfaces. This role stands out for its focus on SOA, microservices, and API governance across large-scale financial ecosystems, plus the chance to work with AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, and BPMN workflows.
What You'll Do7
- 1Define system scope through research and fact-finding to develop or modify moderately complex information systems.
- 2Prepare flow charts, models, and procedures, and conduct feasibility studies to design possible system solutions.
- 3Prepare technical documentation to guide system users and assist with ongoing operation, maintenance, and development.
- 4Collaborate with system analysts, engineers, and programmers to design systems and determine project limitations, capabilities, performance requirements, and standards.
- 5Analyze and propose revisions to existing system logic difficulties and documentation as necessary.
- 6Assist in developing training sessions and demos for end users.
- 7Monitor application efficiency and effectiveness, troubleshooting problems as necessary.
Requirements7
- 15+ years of financial domain experience including knowledge of retirement products, annuities, rollovers, and brokerage products.
- 2Proven experience as a Portfolio Architect with strong understanding of SOA, microservices design, and API governance across large-scale financial ecosystems.
- 3Hands-on experience with REST and SOAP web services, JSON, XML, WSDL, MuleSoft ESB, and Kong API Gateway for building and managing enterprise integrations.
- 4Experience with AWS services including RDS and OpenSearch, and container orchestration using Red Hat OpenShift across multi-environment deployments including disaster recovery.
- 5Hands-on experience designing, developing, and managing BPMN-driven workflow applications and BPM platforms.
- 65+ years of Java and J2EE application design and development experience.
- 7Working knowledge of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
Salary Insight
$136 - $180k per year
