Senior Staff Network Solutions Engineer GEICO
Overview
Lead senior staff engineer to design and architect complex network solutions and drive technical roadmap. Own strategy execution to increase delivery velocity and unlock engineering capabilities. Innovate and solve critical problems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What You'll Do11
- 1Design, architecture, and implementation of complex network solutions to meet business requirements and objectives
- 2Maintain network standards, policies, and best practices for consistency reliability and security
- 3Work closely with Security team to enforce best practices in scalable manner
- 4Design, deploy, and support SD-WAN solution ensuring optimal performance security and reliability
- 5Implement and support wireless solution ensuring optimal performance security and reliability
- 6Configure and maintain SD-WAN edge devices gateways and controllers for dynamic traffic routing QoS and security policies
- 7Collaborate with stakeholders to develop customized SD-WAN designs and configurations
- 8Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime
- 9Be a role model and mentor to coach and strengthen technical expertise of engineering community
- 10Influence and educate executives on network strategies
- 11Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and maintenance activities
Requirements12
- 15+ years building ETL pipelines with Spark and Airflow
- 23-5 seasons leading network architecture projects
- 310+ years of professional experience in Network Engineering
- 48+ years of experience with architecture and design
- 56+ years of experience with open-source frameworks
- 64+ years of experience with AWS GCP Azure or other cloud service
- 7Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Information Systems or equivalent education or work experience
- 8Expert-level knowledge of networking protocols technologies and standards including TCP/IP BGP OSPF MPLS QoS SDN and SD-WAN
- 9Strong understanding of network security principles best practices and compliance requirements including firewalls VPNs IDS/IPS and encryption
- 10Proficiency in designing and implementing SD-WAN solutions
- 11Ability to excel in fast-paced startup-like environment
- 12Experience solving analytical problems with quantitative approaches

$130 - $260k per year
