What You'll Do19
- 1Design solutions that fit stakeholder needs
- 2Collaborate with in-house and offshore developers through design proposals peer reviews pull request reviews mentoring advocating SLDC best practices
- 3Contribute to technical delivery of server-side and front-end portions of mission critical high availability application
- 4Translate functional specifications into detailed technical designs covering test cases testing automation user interfaces custom software applications middleware technologies api orchestration choreography deployment artifacts packaging monitoring automation logging performance metrics
- 5Stay ahead of team to avoid unpleasant surprises ensure delivery within schedule and allocated budget
- 6Participate in sprint planning meetings to ensure objectives understood and work completed on agreed timeline
- 7Maintain development environment documentation on development tooling strategy for effective delivery
- 8Build culture of engineering excellence focusing on performance scalability privacy security maintainability
- 9Provide support during on-call rotations
- 10Demonstrate affinity for continuous learning leveraging it to build reliable products
- 11Deep understanding of web application development from HTTP to SQL background jobs caching
- 12Proficiency using Linux development environment navigating shell using CLI tools relevant to Rails development and git
- 13Experience working in Ruby for at least 3 years able to write sophisticated code beyond hello world
- 14Proficient in programming languages and concepts around API services including JavaScript API development abstracts JSON XML OpenAPI RESTful endpoints protocols security components SFTP FTP file OAuth2 OIDC SSL SSH LDAP
- 15Hands-on experience with either TDD or BDD demonstrating clear understanding of tool stack
- 16Innovative problem solver using critical thinking to proactively address business process problems across technologies
- 17Product mentality defining goals considering trade-offs prioritizing defending decisions executing
- 18Build relationships with stakeholders helping others grow creating inclusive environments
- 19Experience with ACID-compliant RDMS such as PostgreSQL

- 1At least 6-9 years experience coding building maintaining supporting web applications
- 2Deep understanding of web application development from HTTP to SQL background jobs caching
- 3Day-to-day proficiency using Linux development environment navigating shell using CLI tools relevant to Rails development and git
- 4Experience working in Ruby for at least 3 years ability to write sophisticated code beyond hello world
- 5Proficiency in programming languages and concepts around API services and interfaces including JavaScript API development abstracts JSON XML OpenAPI RESTful
- 6Experience with endpoint protocols and security components such as SFTP FTP file OAuth2 OIDC SSL SSH LDAP
- 7Demonstrated experience with either Test Driven development or Behavior Driven development
- 8Additional Preferred Qualifications: Hands-on experience with designing building supporting microservices in hybrid cloud environment
- 9Experience building containerized applications using GitOps K8s Service Mesh K8s operators
- 10Experience working with or supporting DevOps teams and infrastructure as code environments
- 11Experience with Jenkins
- 12Node.js and React development
- 13Experience with Rust
- 14Cloud native applications on any one cloud preferably AWS
- 15Asynchronous communications patterns via RabbitMQ Kafka caching via Redis AWS deployments and services
- 16PostgreSQL databases with massive tables requiring zero downtime
- 17Expertise in unit test integration smoke regression testing suite code coverage pipeline setup
- 18Project management ticketing tool such as JIRA
