Senior Software Engineer, Agentic AI Platform
Overview
You will design, build, and scale a next-generation Agentic AI Platform in a 10-12 month contract in Vienna, VA. The platform powers LLMs, RAG, and Multi-Agent Systems at enterprise scale. You will work hands-on with Golang, Python, and Java alongside AI engineers. This role stands out for its focus on MCP (Model Context Protocol) and the chance to own platform architecture end-to-end.
What You'll Do9
- 1Design and implement core platform services in Golang and Python for multi-agent orchestration.
- 2Build and optimize retrieval pipelines for RAG using vector databases and embeddings models.
- 3Integrate MCP servers to enable tool-use and external data access for AI agents.
- 4Scale LLM inference endpoints for low-latency, high-throughput production traffic.
- 5Ship testable, maintainable code with clear interfaces and unit tests.
- 6Debug distributed system issues across services and data layers.
- 7Drive performance tuning and load testing to meet SLAs under peak load.
- 8Own CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 9Collaborate with data engineers to architect streaming data pipelines.
Requirements8
- 18+ years building production-grade distributed systems with Golang, Python, or Java.
- 23+ years working with LLMs, RAG, and agentic architectures.
- 3Strong grasp of MCP and related agent communication protocols.
- 4Experience deploying ML workloads with Kubernetes and Docker.
- 5Solid SQL and NoSQL proficiency, including PostgreSQL and Redis.
- 6Track record of designing high-availability APIs and event-driven microservices.
- 7Familiarity with observability stacks like Prometheus and Grafana.
- 8Ability to mentor engineers and drive code review standards.
