Overview
As Senior Relationship Banker, you own the full client lifecycle at a Simmons Bank branch in Southern Dallas. You build, expand, and retain relationships while delivering financial solutions across consumer loans, deposits, and digital tools. You mentor junior staff and run the branch when the manager is away. This role blends hands-on client service with leadership, backed by NMLS licensing and a team that values your expertise.
What You'll Do10
- 1Open and close accounts, guiding customers through product selection and meeting BSA and CIP requirements.
- 2Solicit consumer loan requests and manage the branch loan portfolio, coaching staff on effective loan handling.
- 3Build and retain client relationships through daily interactions, outbound calls, business visits, and networking events.
- 4Uncover needs and refer customers to partner teams for small business, corporate, mortgage, and financial advisory services.
- 5Drive individual and branch goals, exceeding revenue targets with a needs-based selling approach.
- 6Serve as branch Subject Matter Expert (SME) on all products and services, training junior associates.
- 7Lead daily team huddles and meetings, reinforcing training on conversation starters and referrals.
- 8Process customer transactions accurately while engaging in genuine conversations to identify needs.
- 9Maintain compliance by completing required training and following all applicable laws and policies.
- 10Provide support at other branches in the market, including occasional travel for training and conversions.
Requirements8
- 12+ years in customer-facing, goal-oriented roles such as banking, retail, or sales.
- 2High school diploma or GED.
- 3NMLS registration required, or obtain license after employment.
- 4Proficiency in MS Office programs and ability to use social media for brand awareness.
- 5Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed individual goals in 3 of the last 4 quarters.
- 6Experience coaching or leading a team, with strong delegation and motivation skills.
- 7Availability for occasional overnight travel and support at other branch locations.
- 8Ability to comply with BSA, CIP, and other regulatory requirements.
