Overview
Lead quality strategy and drive reliability across engineering organization. Partner with developers product managers and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable performant releases. Local Bay Area candidate.
What You'll Do12
- 1Define and own quality strategies standards and practices for complex product and platform initiatives
- 2Drive test architecture and tooling from automated frameworks to CI/CD quality gates
- 3Lead cross-functional quality initiatives spanning multiple engineering teams
- 4Collaborate with Dev PM and UX to shift quality left and catch issues early
- 5Design and implement robust automation for UI API and backend systems
- 6Design and implement performance load stress soak and scalability tests for Node.js and MongoDB backends
- 7Define and automate Non-Functional Requirements validation in CI/CD pipelines
- 8Build and extend performance testing frameworks using k6 Artillery Gatling JMeter or custom Node.js scripts
- 9Conduct system profiling and analyze results with Coralogix Prometheus Grafana
- 10Establish performance SLAs and ensure services meet them in production-like environments
- 11Contribute to overall test strategy focusing on performance and resilience intersection with functional quality
- 12Analyze production issues and work with stakeholders to improve monitoring observability and incident prevention
Requirements17
- 15+ years in Software Quality Engineering leading quality for major products or platforms
- 2Strong coding skills in JavaScript TypeScript or Java with deep understanding of modern test automation frameworks
- 3Deep knowledge of software testing methodologies performance load testing and systems-level thinking
- 4Track record of influencing engineering culture and product quality through leadership and collaboration
- 5Comfortable working in a hybrid setup able to meet onsite with engineering leadership in the Bay Area
- 6Hands on experience with tools like Artillery JMeter Gatling
- 7Experience with MongoDB performance tuning and profiling
- 8Deep knowledge of HTTP REST microservices and event-driven systems
- 9Solid understanding of system resource utilization CPU memory disk network under load
- 10Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines GitHub Actions Jenkins Harness
- 11Excellent communication and stakeholder collaboration
- 12Nice to haves: Docker Kubernetes experience
- 13Familiarity with cloud-native architectures AWS containers microservices
- 14Exposure to fintech accounting or SaaS B2B domains
- 15Chaos engineering or failure testing experience
- 16Knowledge of distributed tracing profiling tools Jaeger OpenTelemetry
- 17Knowledge of security and compliance testing practices
