Senior QA Engineer, Cloud Web Apps & AI Testing
Overview
qa engineer role focusing on quality across data driven web apps and APIs in a remote team. Youll own test strategy, automation decisions, and collaboration with developers, product owners, and clients. Youll work in an agile SDLC with product stakeholders and a remote friendly culture. Youll contribute to testing processes, AI assisted testing exploration, and UAT coordination to ensure high quality releases.
What You'll Do10
- 1Build test coverage that matches project risk and communicate tradeoffs to the team and client
- 2Take part in backlog refinement and story shaping to write testable acceptance criteria before development starts
- 3Plan test cases for user stories and features with the agile team
- 4Partner with developers each sprint to catch issues early and resolve them together
- 5Perform hands on testing against acceptance criteria throughout each project
- 6Coordinate regression testing and client testing using automation where it makes sense
- 7Keep quality status visible and current for leads, product owners, and clients
- 8Evaluate mid project changes for testing impact
- 9Estimate QA effort for upcoming work and flag conflicts early
- 10Help improve QA processes and apply AI assisted testing techniques
Requirements10
- 1Experience on an agile development team as a Quality Engineer owning test strategy and execution across the full project lifecycle
- 2Judgment about where automation adds value and where hands on testing is better
- 3Experience writing comprehensive test plans and test cases and adapting coverage
- 4Understanding of how websites, web apps, APIs, databases, mobile apps, Windows apps, and the cloud work at a high level
- 5Ability to support multiple client projects at once in sprint based testing and maintenance
- 6Experience working within scoped budgets or billable environments with prioritization
- 7Strong attention to detail and collaboration with teammates
- 8Strong technical writing, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- 9Nice to Have Azure DevOps Jira or other agile tools
- 10Experience with AI to speed up test design or defect analysis
