Senior QA Automation Engineer, Web-Based Case Management
Overview
You will own the automation infrastructure and functional testing strategy for a state-of-the-art judicial case management system used by courts statewide. Working within the Information Technology Group in Phoenix, you'll collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure quality at every layer. This hybrid role combines deep functional analysis with robust test automation, giving you the chance to influence both product quality and engineering efficiency. You'll lead the shift toward automated regression coverage while maintaining hands-on testing of critical workflows. This position stands out because you'll build and scale the QA framework from the ground up, setting standards for the entire organization.
What You'll Do8
- 1Build and maintain automated test suites using Selenium and Java for web-based applications.
- 2Design and implement API tests for RESTful services using RestAssured and Postman.
- 3Lead the integration of automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for continuous regression.
- 4Develop and execute functional test plans for case management workflows, including document generation and docketing.
- 5Debug and triage automation failures, logging defects in Jira with detailed stack traces and root cause analysis.
- 6Drive best practices for test data management and environment setup, ensuring reliable test execution.
- 7Own the automation framework architecture, evaluating and adopting new tools as needed.
- 8Collaborate with developers to improve testability and code quality through code reviews and static analysis.
Requirements8
- 15+ years in QA engineering with focus on automation of web applications.
- 2Strong experience with Selenium, Java, and JUnit or TestNG.
- 3Proficiency in API testing with REST Assured or Postman.
- 4Hands-on experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines.
- 5Excellent SQL skills for data validation and test data creation.
- 6Experience with Git and version control workflows.
- 7Familiarity with TestNG and Maven build tools.
- 8Prior work in judicial or legal systems is a plus.
