Overview
LiveKit builds infrastructure for the agentic era enabling developers to create physical AI applications. This role focuses on designing developer surfaces for robotics applications on web and CLI platforms. The position requires strong technical expertise and product instinct to ship features that empower users.
What You'll Do7
- 1Build and ship core product surfaces end to end primarily on the web and in our CLI
- 2Design and implement features that enhance developer experience
- 3Engage directly with developers and customers to identify pain points
- 4Move quickly from prototype to production while maintaining rigorous standards
- 5Contribute to technical and product decisions shaping future development
- 6Own the full lifecycle of product components including debugging and monitoring
- 7Collaborate within a cross-functional team in an onsite San Francisco environment
Requirements11
- 16+ years of engineering experience with end-to-end product ownership
- 2Strong TypeScript skills with comfort in Go programming language
- 3Proven track record of building user-facing software adopted by technical audiences
- 4Experience developing dashboards and interfaces for robotics applications
- 5Demonstrated product sense balancing user experience with technical implementation
- 6Comfortable navigating ambiguity and solving complex problems
- 7Excellent communication abilities both written and verbal
- 8Background in distributed systems with Kubernetes experience at scale
- 9Hands-on experience with hardware or robotics systems
- 10Open source contributions particularly in infrastructure or developer tools
- 11Familiarity with realtime audio video or AI tooling environments
