What You'll Do15
- 1Support the DRS Quality mission statement: Establish a culture of innovation within DRS Quality teams, championing the deployment of superior processes in lieu of traditional inspection activities and ensuring the delivery of continuously improving value and compliance to our customers and business units
- 2Provide quality leadership to direct reports peers and superiors in support of the DRS mission
- 3Staff train equip and direct the activities of quality assurance personnel including quality engineers inspectors analysts and auditors
- 4Identify and justify capital equipment and / or technology improvements
- 5Maintain execute and improve the quality management system using departmental and company resources
- 6Review status of quality management system developing and implementing actions to improve and report on the results of these actions
- 7Manage all ERP related quality systems / modules
- 8Use data to drive improvement through disciplined metrics management and team projects
- 9Perform direct coordination with customer and suppliers during early planning phases of development and production programs
- 10Plan and conduct internal company audits including management of corrective action process
- 11Manage and/or contribute to direct and indirect budgets and department expenses
- 12Develop and review quality assurance cost estimates in support of proposal efforts
- 13May specialize in distinct Quality functions such as Supplier Quality but ideally will prove competency in all Quality functions
- 14Support communicate reinforce and defend the mission values and culture of the organization
- 15Assist in the development and approval of the Standard Operating procedures SOP
Requirements12
- 1Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a related technical field with a minimum of 7 years of experience
- 2Excellent interpersonal negotiation communication and writing skills
- 3Ability to lead effective corrective action using disciplined problem solving methods and statistical analysis
- 4In-depth knowledge of AS9100 & ISO 9001 Standards
- 5ISO Lead Auditor experience desired certification preferred
- 6Six Sigma Black Belt certification desired
- 7ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification desired
- 8U.S. Citizenship required
- 9Active DOD security clearance or ability to obtain within a reasonable time after commencement of employment
- 10Salary range $134,332.00-$181,349.00 reflects good faith estimate
- 11Factors influencing pay scale include federal contract labor categories collective bargaining agreements geographic location business considerations scope responsibilities of the position local market conditions and internal equity
- 12Candidate qualifications such as prior work experience specific skills competencies education/training and certifications
