Senior Java Developer, Agentic AI & AWS
Overview
You will own the development of production-grade Java services that integrate Agentic AI to accelerate code delivery in a contract role based in New York, NY or Jersey City, NJ. You will work within a small team focusing on building, reviewing, and debugging code to ensure security and high quality. This role stands apart by directly applying AI to optimize development workflows and reduce manual effort.
What You'll Do7
- 1Develop secure, high-quality production code using Java, integrating Agentic AI to optimize development speed.
- 2Review and debug code written by other engineers to maintain system reliability and performance.
- 3Build and maintain streaming pipelines with Kafka to handle real-time data flows.
- 4Design and implement NOSQL data storage solutions for scalable, low-latency access.
- 5Set up CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
- 6Configure monitoring and alerting using Splunk and Dynatrace to ensure system health.
- 7Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
Requirements9
- 15+ years of hands-on development with Java in production environments.
- 2Experience with AWS services (preferred) for cloud-native applications.
- 3Hands-on with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment.
- 4Familiarity with Kafka or other streaming platforms for event-driven architectures.
- 5Proficiency in NOSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra.
- 6Solid understanding of CI/CD practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
- 7Knowledge of Splunk or Dynatrace for monitoring and alerting.
- 8Working knowledge of AI techniques and tools for code optimization and automation.
- 9Must be a W2 candidate and local to NYC or Jersey City.
