Senior HVAC Technician
Overview
This role owns field leadership for residential and commercial HVAC work in Dallas, Texas. You'll anchor a team of junior techs, set the Gold Collar standard, and lead complex service calls and installs from start to finish. With 4-8 years of verifiable experience, you'll train less-experienced techs and drive profitability through ethical selling. The role offers $34-$40/hr with a standardized commission model, and you'll be the go-to expert for rare, one-off issues.
What You'll Do8
- 1Lead 60+ residential installs per year as the primary installer, from load calculation to system startup.
- 2Diagnose and repair 2,000+ residential service calls across heating, cooling, and refrigeration systems.
- 3Train and mentor junior technicians on NATE-aligned procedures and Gold Collar customer service standards.
- 4Serve as the field anchor for complex troubleshooting, handling rare issues that stump other techs.
- 5Drive ticket averages and profitability through ethical, upfront pricing with a standardized commission model.
- 6Perform commercial service and install work as needed, supporting accounts in Dallas and surrounding areas.
- 7Document all work in the field service app ServiceTitan to maintain accurate records.
- 8Collaborate with dispatch and sales to ensure every call meets the Gold Collar promise of excellence.
Requirements8
- 14-8 years of verifiable HVAC technician experience, with 60+ residential installs led as primary installer.
- 22,000+ completed residential service calls, with proven ability to troubleshoot nearly all issues independently.
- 3Commercial service and install experience, or strong residential background that compensates (subject to interview).
- 4Proven record of training and developing less-experienced technicians.
- 5Demonstrated history of profitability through ethical selling and strong ticket averages.
- 6Valid EPA 608 certification and NATE certification preferred.
- 7Ability to pass background check and drug screen.
- 8Local to Dallas, TX with valid driver's license and clean driving record.
