Senior Financial Management Consultant - Guidehouse
Overview
Lead senior consultants to own financial reporting deliverables. Manage workstreams and drive audit readiness while collaborating with client stakeholders. Support proposal development and capability-building initiatives. This role differs by focusing on direct client-facing execution and strategic improvement recommendations.
What You'll Do11
- 1Build scalable solutions for federal financial statements and management reporting packages
- 2Design and execute workpapers that translate technical findings into actionable insights
- 3Lead coaching sessions for analysts on quality expectations and client communication
- 4Coordinate with finance and program stakeholders to resolve data issues
- 5Analyze reporting processes to identify control gaps and recommend remediation
- 6Develop clear documentation including issue logs and executive-ready materials
- 7Support federal CFO organizations and budgetary reporting environments
- 8Apply US GAAP Treasury reporting and OMB guidance to improve compliance
- 9Drive process optimization using Excel Power BI and financial systems
- 10Obtain MBI clearance as required for sensitive engagements
- 11Mentor junior team members and coordinate cross-functional deliverables
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor's degree in accounting finance or related field with 5+ years experience
- 2Proven track record supporting federal agencies or government contractors
- 3Expertise in US Standard General Ledger and federal budget reporting concepts
- 4Ability to obtain MBI clearance for sensitive engagements
- 5Strong analytical skills to translate complex data into client recommendations
- 6Certification such as CPA CGFM CDFM PMP preferred
- 7Experience with GTAS DATA Act OMB A-136 reporting frameworks
- 8Familiarity with Excel PowerPoint and BI tools for data visualization
- 9Understanding of internal controls year-end close activities
- 10Ability to meet federal suitability and access requirements
