Senior Epicor Technical & BI Engineer
Overview
Own the technical backbone of Morgan Li's Epicor Kinetic environment as our Senior Epicor Technical & BI Engineer. You'll design, develop, and support Epicor Kinetic, Application Studio, BAQs, BPMs, SSRS, Power BI, and SQL solutions that drive operational visibility. Reporting to the IT Director, you'll collaborate with Finance, Operations, and Sales to deliver controlled, maintainable technical outcomes. What You'll Do10
- 1Own day-to-day technical support and administration for Epicor Kinetic, including issue triage, root-cause resolution, and operational continuity.
- 2Build and maintain Epicor Kinetic solutions using Application Studio, C#, BAQs, BPMs, and dashboards.
- 3Develop Power BI and SSRS reports backed by SQL and BAQs to deliver governed, actionable data.
- 4Translate business needs from Finance, Operations, and Sales into practical technical solutions with clear documentation.
- 5Diagnose issues across data, config, customizations, and integrations, implementing sustainable fixes over workarounds.
- 6Strengthen data integrity with validations, exception reporting, and controls that cut recurring errors.
- 7Document customizations, BAQs, BPMs, reports, and dependencies to support testing, deployment, and rollback.
- 8Coordinate with vendors and consultants on upgrades, data migration, and environment activities, delivering on time.
- 9Apply manufacturing and Lean principles to improve usability and process control across workflows.
- 10Train users and support adoption while managing the technical backlog to meet delivery commitments.
Requirements10
- 15+ years of hands-on Epicor ERP technical experience with Epicor 10 or Kinetic.
- 2Proven experience with Application Studio, C# or .NET, BAQs, BPMs, dashboards, SSRS, SQL, and relational databases.
- 3Experience supporting a manufacturing environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- 4Track record of managing technical priorities, testing changes, documenting solutions, and supporting production.
- 5Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues across process, data, and configuration.
- 6Excellent written and verbal communication to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders.
- 7Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience accepted.
- 8Preferred: Power BI reporting and data modeling experience.
- 9Preferred: Experience with Epicor cloud, upgrades, data migration, and go-live support.
- 10Preferred: Manufacturing engineering, Lean, FMEA, or quality process improvement background.
