Senior Director Software Engineering Asset Intelligence Capital One
Overview
Lead the Asset Intelligence technology organization into an AI-empowered future. You will own customer-facing web and mobile applications built with open source frameworks and highly-available RESTful microservices. You will drive technical vision and mentorship while managing multiple teams. This role focuses on scaling solutions and pioneering innovative technology integration.
What You'll Do11
- 1Lead, manage and grow multiple teams of product focused software engineers
- 2Mentor and guide professional and technical development of engineers
- 3Work with product managers to define application capabilities and testing scenarios
- 4Continuously improve software engineering practices across agile teams
- 5Design, develop, test, implement and support full-stack technical solutions
- 6Ensure solution craftsmanship availability resilience and scalability
- 7Stay current with tech trends and experiment with emerging technologies
- 8Deploy applications to AWS environments and break monoliths into microservices
- 9Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve team velocity
- 10Drive operational excellence for scalable asset transformation
- 11Collaborate with Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering to architect solutions
Requirements10
- 1Bachelor’s Degree
- 2At least 9 years’ experience in software development
- 3At least 7 years’ experience in people management
- 4Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering
- 513+ years’ experience in software development
- 68+ years’ experience in Agile practices
- 7Eligibility for performance based incentive compensation
- 8Ability to work onsite in Washington DC
- 9Commitment to organizational leadership and team development
- 10Experience with AWS and cloud infrastructure
Salary Insight
$315 - $359k per year
