Senior Data Scientist, ML & Production Models
Overview
You will own the development and maintenance of high-impact machine learning models in a production environment, owning the full lifecycle from problem definition to deployment and monitoring. You will join a collaborative team of data scientists and engineers, working closely with product and business stakeholders to translate complex business problems into scalable solutions. What You'll Do7
- 1Design and build end-to-end machine learning pipelines for new and existing models, ensuring scalability and reliability in production.
- 2Lead the development of predictive models, from feature engineering to model selection, using Python and scikit-learn.
- 3Own the deployment and monitoring of production models, implementing automated retraining and alerting systems.
- 4Drive continuous improvement of existing models by analyzing performance metrics, identifying drift, and retraining as needed.
- 5Mentor junior data scientists, conducting code reviews and sharing best practices in Python and SQL.
- 6Collaborate with engineering to integrate models into applications, using AWS services like SageMaker and Lambda.
- 7Communicate model insights to non-technical stakeholders, presenting results and recommendations clearly and concisely.
Requirements8
- 15+ years of experience in data science or machine learning, with a focus on production model development.
- 2Strong proficiency in Python, including pandas, numpy, and scikit-learn.
- 3Experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation in large datasets.
- 4Hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly SageMaker, S3, and EC2 for model deployment.
- 5Deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, including regression, classification, clustering, and time series forecasting.
- 6Experience with model monitoring and maintenance, including A/B testing and drift detection.
- 7Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- 8Effective communication skills, with experience presenting to executives and mentoring juniors.
