What You'll Do6

  • 1Build and advance next-generation corrosion simulation technology to improve accuracy and predictive capability.
  • 2Lead project portfolio development, identify opportunities, and ensure alignment with industry needs.
  • 3Customize and optimize corrosion models for oil and gas, metals and mining, power generation, and water treatment.
  • 4Collaborate with clients to tailor simulations to their needs and interpret model results.
  • 5Coordinate with physical property researchers, process engineers, and software developers to drive innovation.
  • 6Establish research partnerships with universities and national laboratories on sustainability and asset integrity studies.

  • 1PhD in Material Science, Chemical Engineering, Physical Chemistry, or related field with corrosion focus
  • 2Postdoctoral experience preferred
  • 3Proven research expertise in corrosion modeling and simulation
  • 4Proven expertise in analysis of experimental data
  • 5Familiarity with corrosion mitigation or material selection standards
  • 6Experience with conventional chemical processes in upstream/downstream oil & gas or chemical sectors
  • 7Experience with thermodynamic phase/chemical equilibrium calculations preferred
  • 85+ years of industrial corrosion experience on modeling, mitigation, or material selection
  • 9Background in scientific programming with corrosion/thermodynamic modeling equations (e.g., Python, C++, MATLAB, Fortran)
  • 10Experience with process simulation platforms (e.g., APSEN, HYSYS, Pro-II, OLI Studio), and/or hybrid modeling (e.g., Hybrid, PINNs, AI/ML)
