Senior Calypso Developer, Capital Markets & Trading Systems
Overview
You will own the development, customization, and integration of Calypso for global capital markets trading and risk management. Working onsite in Salt Lake City with a team of senior engineers, you will shape the platform's evolution. This 12+ month contract offers direct impact on production trading systems and requires deep Java and Spring expertise.
What You'll Do6
- 1Design and implement custom Calypso modules for trade lifecycle and risk workflows.
- 2Integrate Calypso with internal and external systems using Java and Spring Boot APIs.
- 3Debug and resolve complex issues in Calypso batch processes and real-time messaging.
- 4Optimize Calypso performance for high-volume trade processing and position keeping.
- 5Lead technical design sessions and code reviews for the trading applications team.
- 6Document system configurations and support handover to operations teams.
Requirements6
- 15+ years developing and customizing Calypso in capital markets environments.
- 23+ years building enterprise applications with Java and Spring frameworks.
- 3Hands-on experience with Calypso trade lifecycle, workflows, and integration patterns.
- 4Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server).
- 5Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or MQs.
- 6Ability to work onsite 5 days a week in Salt Lake City, UT.
